Ards Rugby's Ian Wallace was rewarded for all his hard work behind the scenes at the recent Ards & North Down Council Sports Awards ceremony in the newly opened Ards Blair Mayne Wellbeing and Leisure Complex.
Ian was not the only person from Ards Rugby to be recognised, Nigel Carr and Phillip Matthews were both inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Both being from the Ards borough, both attended Regent House, both payed rugby for Ards, Ulster & Ireland and Nigel also played for the British Lions.
The Ards Blair Mayne Wellbeing and Leisure Complex is named after Blair Mayne, who also played rugby for Regent House, Ards, Ulster, Ireland and the then British & Irish Rugby tournament party in 1938.
