Ards Rugby Club are asking you to “Be Part of It”……..be a player, be a member, be a supporter, be a volunteer, be a coach, be a sponsor there's room for everyone!
Ards Rugby is a local club, a friendly club, a fun club and a club representative of the whole community with players and members coming from not just Ards town but whole the Ards Peninsula, Comber, North Down and Greater Belfast areas.
Ards Rugby are looking to the future and have ambitious plans to redevelop their existing grounds located at Hamilton Park to include a new clubhouse with male and female changing facilities, a gym, a first floor members lounge with a balcony to take in the great views of Strangford Lough and Scrabo Tower.
Ards Rugby are not only focussed on developing our clubhouse but player development is also at the forefront of Ards Rugby’s plans.
Ards Rugby Club is represented throughout the province every week by it’s 1st XV, 2nd XV, 3rd XV, it’s Youth section with U14, U16 & U18 boys teams and a development girls squad (11-17yrs) and it’s mini rugby section with P1-Y8 teams.
Ards Rugby also collaborate with The two other local rugby clubs to form North Dowens Rugby who train at Ards every Thursday evening.
All teams are coached by IRFU accredited coaches and coaches within the Youth and Mini sections have are appropriately vetted.
The aim of Ards Rugby is to invest now for the future, to re-establish Ards within Ulster Rugby, to develop the quality of young rugby player in the area which will not only benefit Ards but through the outreach work other local clubs may well benefit.
