GoldMark volunteers recognised!

By STEPHEN NUTT

Youth members of Ards Rugby receive their GoldMark certificates

Four members of Ards Youth Rugby recently received certificates in recognition of their volunteering efforts at their club via the GoldMark scheme.

Ulster Rugby President Stephen Elliott and Ireland & Ulster player Stuart McCloskey presented the Ards Rugby recipients with there certificates at an evening event in the Ramada Hotel, Shaw's Bridge.

Ards Rugby has the largest number of GoldMark volunteers within Ulster Rugby and credit has to go to Ards Rugby's Youth Convenor Brendan O'Hanlon in being the driving force behind the promotion of the GoldMark scheme at Ards Rugby.

A point of note should be that Ards U16s captain Callum O'Hanlon received his certificate for 200 hours of volunteering and was the only recipient to receive recognition by two sporting governing bodies, Ulster Rugby & GAA.
