Ards Rugby Chairman Mike Spence then oversaw proceedings with the delivery of end of season reports from Director of Rugby Stevie Nutt and Treasurer Ali Carson.

Both reports were positive with playing numbers increasing at Ards and a relatively successful season which saw Ards 1sts finish mid table, Ards 2nds finish runners up & promoted for next season and Ards 3rds win their Regional League.

The youth section fulfilled fixtures at U16 & U14 level with two players, Callum O'Hanlon and James McDowell being involved in Ulster U17 squads throughout the season; there is a growing girls section at the club.

The mini rugby section held a successful end of season Festival and awards day with Ireland & Ulster player Jordi Murphy a special guest.

The financial report highlighted a profit and the continuing reinvestment into the clubhouse facilities with the refurbishment of the Blair Mayne Lounge, the purchase of new grounds equipment and the upgrading of the drainage and lights on the 3rds & 4ths pitches.

The election of club officers for the 2019-20 then took place with Wes Campbell being elected President and the re-election of Mike Spence as Chairman, Ian Wallace as Secretary and Ali Carson as Treasurer.

Club awards were presented to Paul Bond - recipient of the Sam Orme Shield, awarded for their contribution to club life and Rick Sadler - recipient of the Rex Cavan, award for their contribution to non 1st XV Senior Rugby.
