A familiar and highly respected figure throughout Hamilton Park, Robin's association with Ards RFC spans decades. Since first joining the club after leaving school, he has proudly worn the black shirt and has gone on to serve the club in a variety of roles, including manager, coach and administrator. His dedication and commitment have made him an integral part of the Ards Rugby community and he now takes on one of the club's most prestigious positions.

Speaking following his appointment, Robin said:

"I am very honoured to be appointed to the role of President of Ards Rugby Club for the forthcoming 2026-2027 season. Ards Rugby Club means a great deal to me and has played a significant part in my life."

Robin paid tribute to outgoing President Dr. Iain Moles OBE QVRM TD VR, thanking him for his leadership during a season that saw considerable success both on and off the field.

The 2025/26 campaign was one of the most successful in recent club history, with achievements across the senior, youth, mini and women's sections, alongside continued growth in membership, volunteering and community engagement.

Looking ahead to the new season, Robin highlighted the importance of the many volunteers and committee members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support every aspect of club life.

"Ards Rugby Club is a community where everyone can feel at home and we are fortunate to have the commitment and energy of our many volunteers in helping to make the Club what it is today."

Robin also expressed his enthusiasm for working alongside the Executive Committee and supporting the continued development of the club in the years ahead.

As Ards RFC prepares for the challenges and opportunities of the 2026/27 season, everyone at Hamilton Park congratulates Robin on his appointment and wishes him every success during his presidential year.
