There was a cup match for the combined Ards / Dee U16s v Ballyclare, then a midweek match v Campbell College followed by a shield semi-final last Saturday v Inishowen - same which they lost 32-17 against a larger and very physical Inishowen team.

The combined Ards / Civil Service squad had a friendly match against BHSFP and a losing semi final against City of Derry. Last Saturday the combined Ards/Civil Service U14s took on Donaghadee in a friendly match losing 37-24 in the final minutes of the match.

Both of these fledging combined teams played some good rugby and never backed down, there was some great individual performances and every player left the field knowing they gave their all.

The support for the teams from the sidelines was superb, not only from the parents, but quite a few Ards senior players and club members were also present to give their support.

The U16 players were well fed after the game and it was great to see so many of the Ards parents stay on and avail the hospitality available on our great outside space.
