Ards 2nds travelled to Gibson Park to play Malone in a rearranged league game on Wednesday night, Malone fielded a big team which included a number of 1sts XV squad players and former Ards players.

The smaller Ards team certainly surprised Malone in the first half, tackling hard and competing for every ball, the pack were superb dominating the scrum, but perhaps the lineout let Ards down.

Malone scored 3 try's to Ards' 2 in the first half, Ards scorers were prop Benn Laird and flanker Sam McVeigh.

Unfortunately the second half saw Malone move ball about alot more and they managed to exploit the space they created well, Ards scored no more points and Malone ran in a handful tries.
