Ards 2nds travelled to Omagh with their 1st XV counterparts, however late cry offs saw Ards' bench start the match and therefore leave them with no replacements.
Ards started the match brightly and for the opening 20 minutes it was all Ards, with good carries from skipper David Chivers and Adam McKee, however, Ards weren't able to register any points.
Ards then lost flanker Ryan Thompson to a head injury and with no subs, they had to play the reaminder of the match with 14 men.
Omagh gradually took control of the game and used their extra man advantage well, they also were able to utilise their three replacements to great effect.
Credit to Ards who stuck to the task, but the extra numbers proved to be the difference.
