Ards 2nds 3 v Coleraine 2nds 59:
Ards 2nds travelled to Coleraine on Saturday with a much changed team from what was selected during the week due to some late cry-offs because of injuries sustained at training or the work place. Ards faced a Coleraine 2nd XV with no less than eleven of last season's 1st XV.

The quality, familiarity and power of the opposition was apparent from the start and playing with a well disciplined carrying game, chalked up 9 tries at regular intervals.

Ards spent 90% of the game in a defensive role, splitting the Coleraine scores with a single penalty from a rare attacking foray.

In saying that, massive credit is due to the positive attitude and dogged determination shown by the entire team. Their tackle count was off the scale with relatively few misses and particular mention in that regard must go to Onisi Burekama, Ryan Thompson and Matthew Bell.

Congratulations to Matthew Warnock and Ifaz Khan on making their senior debuts, a warm welcome back to Jack Coulter and Paul White and many thanks to others for stepping up to the 2nds and fulfilling the fixture.
