Ards under 16s hosted Donaghadee last Saturday.

Opting to play 3 x 15 minute sessions due to both squads having reduced numbers.

Both sets of players really put in some miles, on a warm dry sunny morning the pace took its toll but each session was highly competitive.

Dee’s speed and well drilled backs saw several breakaway tries with Ards Scrum half Adam Fisher and wing AJ Waycott scoring well worked tries.

Ards centre Stephen Harvey put in a hard shift with some text book tackles.

This wasn’t the result Ards wanted but it was good first run out in a long time and it was great to see the players playing rugby again and enjoying themselves.
